The kit provides sufficient materials to optimize 10 protein conjugates or perform one optimization reaction and scale up production of 20ml of conjugate at a final optical density of OD3.
Note: This kit is designed for use exclusively with standard or reactant-free gold nanoparticles.
Gold nanoparticle conjugates have diverse biological applications, including their use as probes in light and electron microscopy (TEM) and for membrane blotting techniques such as immunogold dot-blot.
Stable gold nanoparticle conjugates are easily prepared through passive adsorption of a protein onto the nanoparticle surface. This process is driven by electrostatic and hydrophobic interactions between the protein and the nanoparticle’s surface layer.
