• 40nm and 60nm standard gold nanoparticles (100ml each, concentration OD1)
• 12 conjugation optimization buffers (1.5ml each)
• 10% NaCl solution (100ml)
• Protein resuspension buffer
• Detailed conjugation optimization protocol

The kit provides sufficient materials to optimize 10 protein conjugates or perform one optimization reaction and scale up production of 20ml of conjugate at a final optical density of OD3.

Note: This kit is designed for use exclusively with standard or reactant-free gold nanoparticles.

Gold nanoparticle conjugates have diverse biological applications, including their use as probes in light and electron microscopy (TEM) and for membrane blotting techniques such as immunogold dot-blot.

Stable gold nanoparticle conjugates are easily prepared through passive adsorption of a protein onto the nanoparticle surface. This process is driven by electrostatic and hydrophobic interactions between the protein and the nanoparticle’s surface layer.

The protein conjugation optimization kits are provided as comprehensive and user-friendly systems to enhance success rates in developing high-quality gold nanoparticle conjugates.
