• 60nm standard gold nanoparticles (100ml, concentration OD1)
• 12 conjugation optimization buffers (1.5ml each)
• 10% NaCl solution (100ml)
• Protein resuspension buffer

This kit contains sufficient materials to optimize 10 protein conjugates or perform one optimization reaction and scale up production of 20ml of conjugate at a final optical density of OD3.

Note: This kit is intended for use exclusively with standard or reactant-free gold nanoparticles.

Gold nanoparticle conjugates have been utilized in numerous biological applications, including as probes in light and electron microscopy (TEM) and for membrane blotting methods such as immunogold dot-blot.

Stable gold nanoparticle conjugates can be easily prepared through passive adsorption of proteins onto the nanoparticle surface. This process is facilitated by electrostatic and hydrophobic interactions between the protein and the surface layer of the colloidal gold.

The protein conjugation optimization kits are supplied as comprehensive, easy-to-use systems designed to improve the success rates of producing high-quality gold nanoparticle conjugates.
