The kit includes sufficient materials to optimize 10 protein conjugates or to carry out one optimization reaction and scale up production of 20ml of conjugate with a final optical density of OD3.
Note: This kit is designed for use only with standard or reactant-free gold nanoparticles.
Gold nanoparticle conjugates are widely used in biological research, including as probes for light and electron microscopy (TEM) and for membrane blotting techniques such as immunogold dot-blot.
Stable gold nanoparticle conjugates can be efficiently created via passive adsorption of proteins onto the nanoparticle surface. This process relies on electrostatic and hydrophobic interactions between the protein and the surface layer of the colloidal gold.
The protein conjugation optimization kits are provided as complete, user-friendly systems that enhance the success rate of developing high-quality gold nanoparticle conjugates.
